We’ve got the scoop on some of the best news in the skate world. The JBSKATE Corporation will create the first JBSKATE. We don’t plan to sit by and twiddle our fingers while they create greatness. JBGODS will work with JBSKATE on a brand deal.

It’s a beautiful, sunny day here in Chicago and the question is where to skate on a Saturday. We probably have more rinks in a 20 mile radius than most states. Even with this advantage I still have a hard time. I’m trying to find a place where I like to skate on a Saturday evenings. There are so many factors to consider when choosing an ideal skate session.
I had a conversation with some skaters after a session this week and I told them something that I’ve been thinking about lately. I stretch and workout specifically for the techniques that I want to practice at a session. Today is Saturday at 3:40 pm and I’m doing stretches and workouts for the session on Monday. I’m getting ready for Monday. That’s my answer to how I do stuff. I spend days preparing for it and studying for it and this system never stops.

Today is Wednesday Oct 2 of 2024 and we have us a serious jb session tonight. The time is 10am here in Chicago, have you stretched yet?? Have you done a small exercise to warm up?? I ask because I see so many people stretching at the session before they skate. In my opinion, it’s too late then. You should be stretching and warming up a week prior. Even then, you’re still behind schedule.

I have a small challenge for you. See how much different your skating ability changes if you do five minutes of stretching and a small workout every day of October. Today is Wednesday Oct 2 but it’s not too late to get started now. Stretch your arms, legs and core. Those are the most important groups to get. Do some leg raises standing, sitting and laying down.
Remember, you don’t have to break a sweat in order for a workout to be effective. You definitely will not burn as many calories but warming and stretching your joints for 5 minutes, every single day will make a difference. If you can’t reach your toes with your legs straight, let your knees stay bent. You are still getting a good stretch with bent knees. I do it all of the time and it works almost immediately.

It’s that time of year, October belongs to the Gods. It’s a beautiful day here in Chicago. The sun is warm and the breeze is gentle. Thank you to everyone for streaming the Book of Khepri, this has been an exciting release. Our latest album has only been live for 12 hours but I’m already on to the next one. Get ready for JBSKATE Originals coming this month and subscribe for email links to new drops.
This year the JBGODS will start our own tradition. We’ll cut a white cake that symbolizes sharing wealth between the team. Our hardest working team player will cut the first slice and pass it to the youngest or newest member. This symbolizes passing on our team heritage and history to new generations. October belongs to the gods and we will solidify this fact with tradition, ceremony and pomp and circumstance.

Today is BC Monday here in Chicago and the Book of Khepri drops in about 4 and a half hours. Right at midnight, after our Monday night session, we can all stream some new JBSKATE music. Please remember, I write this music for JBSKATERS. I made all of it especially for you. The Chicago style has influenced all of my work. You’ll see that in everything that I do.
I’m excited about this one. If you like the Book of Enoch or the songs that make up the Book of the Dead, then you’ll like this. The energy pushes a little bit harder with this one. The color of the musical environment is a little bit darker. My mood is a little bit angrier here, lol.
Remember, I’m writing this music so that we take JBSKATE music from underground to the mainstream. I’m also writing this music so that JBSKATERS have new music to enjoy. My style is a bit different from what we are used to but I built it all on the same musical principals.

We are getting some Chicago rain in late 2024. It’s the end of September and the weather has been a bit back and forward between warmth and that slight winter chill. Storms have rolled in overnight and during the evenings, hinting a change of season. I’m not ready for it. I’m never ready for the winter.
Aside from the toils of climate change, the weather has been so beautiful here in Chicago. The weather has been more than satisfactory. I mean the weather has been so pleasing in this fall season that any outfit that you wear outside will feel comfortable in this breeze. The wind and the soft warmth of the sun seem to comfort the whole city, as if to give us all a hug before the snow comes and blankets the ground.
The JBGODS have accomplished a lot this year. We’ve set many goals and reached them. Many of them came late, many came right on time. Tonight, I’m feeling really proud of us. This thing that we have is really making progress and I’m glad that I can share it with you.

Members from Houston are interested in being JBGODS, this is good news to the GodKing Pharaoh, who else is there?? Speak up if you really want to make that move. We are a welcoming team. We share our routines with anyone, the point is to spread JBSKATING and not to keep it unknown.
Most people don’t know this, but I’ve created a ranking system for JBSKATING. This ranking system is based on knowledge of routines and execution of routines. So far, only two JBGODS have been recognized and awarded their certifications. Three more members from the JBGODS Skate Team will get their certs this year. This entire process is important to me and it is one that I take seriously. It’s important to me that after all of the work that my team does, they have something physical to show for it.
I’m not sure if I’ll make it a habit of bringing skaters onto the team from out of town. I meant for the gods to represent Chicago. That is where the team is born and Chicago is where the team stays. As of now, this is a thought that I’ll continue to work with. But, in the meantime, if you are interested in our team, say something.

I have finished the Book of Khepri and now it is time for me to begin my next task, JBSKATE Originals. The culture is constantly moving and I am guiding us forward. JBGODS is guiding the entire JBSKATE community forward. We need new music and I have dedicated myself to that task. Directly after I publish Khepri, I’m going to begin publishing JBSKATE Originals.
This is how serious I am. Two separate albums with two very differents moods will come out in the month of October. If time permits and I work hard enough, I may be able to drop a 3rd album next month. October belongs to the gods, if you wonder why, it’s when I started the team. That’s the best skating decision that I have ever made.
At this moment, very little is more important to me than a knowledge of routines, speed and jumps. I have some very specific plans for the future of JBGODS and JBSKATING as a whole. We need to sell spectator seats. In my opinion, classic jb skating is not going to sell out an arena. Excitement and dynamic showmanship will sell out an arena.
