One thing that I’ve learned to count on is the likelihood that you are going to give up on yourself. It doesn’t matter what the goal is, how achievable or unrealistic. My baseline belief in all of the human beings around me is that they will give up. That’s the most sensible thing for them to do. You could suffer immensely just for this thing that you want or you could bring all of the suffrage to an end by quitting.
