Finally, the day has come, Glenwood now has a price tag. Glenwood Roller Rink is up for sell, as it should be. According to some unverified source, the price of the property is $750,000. That’s not bad at all. It’s about time Glenwood got new ownership. But, who is it going to be and what is going to change?? Looks like we’ll all just have to wait and see. – Pharaoh
Skaters Wait For The Doors To Open
Much of Chicago is well aware that the doors to Glenwood are closed. Skaters are talking about this iconic skating rink and having disclosed discussions about who may be the next to take over. The clear reality is that the skaters of Chicago need skating rinks. For other reasons, the city of Chicago and the suburb of Glenwood both need skating rinks. They are good for the economy. Our local skaters visit on a regular basis and contribute to their income. People from out of town travel to Chicago with the objective of visiting the rinks that Chicago skaters make popular.
