I woke up this morning to all of my stats missing. There’s always something. What’s really going on?? Can’t have too many perfect days at a time then. Complications are all part of the process, any process, every process. There’s no moving forward in growth without them.

My work is nearly done, I’m making things happen. Or maybe it’s just getting started. Neither one is wrong. Having a team on your journey makes all the difference. Imagine attaining everything that you want and having an empty room to share a toast.

I found this fountain art with some Greek statues in it. I think they’re supposed to be Greek, shows my knowledge of art history. There is also no water in the fountain, which I found to be a bit of a disappointment. But, the art was nice to stumble upon tho.

This could be a more accurate question to ask. We tend to feel a certain level of comfort when we are surrounded with familiarity. Sessions can suddenly feel like a strange environment when the people that we know stop showing up.
JBSKATING continues to evolve. With each generation, something new comes, something old fades. Many have noticed that most of us do the Big Wheel a bit differently during sessions. It’s not a big change, but it is noticeable. What should we call it?? Do exactly what you want, reinvent the big wheel.

When those lungs start to burn and those legs get sore, push. That’s when you get the most training. Rest for a bit and then do a little more after. This doesn’t mean to continue pushing your body as hard as you can or to continue trying jumps after your body is completely fatigued. It simply means that after you have realized that you have gotten tired, don’t stop training. Take a break then do a little more, do something else. This push will make you much stronger. You’ll go past your current limits.
Take a look outside in Chicago and you will see gray skies and brisk breezes. The winter weather is making a slow exit from the city as usual.
We are weeks into the month of May and old man winter still has a light grip on the city. I had to turn the heat on inside of my home at night and inside of my car on my way to work. This is rich for the summer, cold air in May.

This is crazy. We have reached the end of May and the weather is still chilly outside. I’m running the heat in my car and in my home to keep warm in the summer month of May. This is the wildest thing ever. The winter weather still has a strong grip on the Chicago climate. Over the past week, there has been a lot of rain and some severe thunderstorms. Trees were stripped of leaves and branches yesterday. Broken tree limbs litter many of the streets and sidewalks. Piles of wet leaves gather on the corners of the roadways.
